Jesus. Is. Better than the angels. The readers of Hebrews elevated angels to almost the same status of the Son of God. The writer of Hebrews is making the point that nothing in our lives should be elevated to Jesus' status. He is greater. He is better.

March 4, 2018
You might be an idolater if... The Israelites so quickly forgot how God redeemed them. They forgot the covenant that God had just created with and for them. We are so much like the Israelites. We do the same thing. We allow idols into our livers to take the rightful place of God.

God commands us to sing. All throughout scripture. In this text we see an example from the people of Israel as they sing and worship God with the Song of Moses and seeing what God did for them. We should be compelled to sing and to worship our Savior as an appropriate response to what his Son did on the cross for us.

Paul lived a life with a mission mindset. He paints a very clear and important picture of this type of mindset for the Roman believers.
The dynamics of the stronger and weaker brother that Paul describes in Romans is a much needed conversation that we must all have. Some times the stronger brother is called to "take one for the team."
Even though we have all freedom in Christ Jesus, that does not negate our responsibilities that we have as sons and daughters of Christ.
